How It Works

When San Jose Firefighters encounter individuals in need—whether during a 911 response or in the course of their daily duties—they can submit a request to the San Jose Firefighters Random Acts (SJFRA) organization. Based on available funding, the SJFRA Board of Directors reviews and approves these requests, ensuring that the necessary resources and support are provided to meet the identified needs.

To stay true to its mission, SJFRA accepts requests only from San Jose Firefighters and San Jose Fire Department personnel. While we’re unable to take requests directly from the general public, our goal remains to serve the community through the compassionate actions of our fire department family.
