About Us
San Jose Firefighters Random Acts (SJFRA) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to helping San Jose families and individuals in need after their 911 emergency has been addressed or following an interaction with the San Jose Fire Department.
Following in the footsteps of Oakland, Mountain View, and Berkeley Firefighters Random Acts, a group of San Jose Firefighters felt inspired to give back to the community that they serve and care for by creating San Jose Firefighters Random Acts.
While responding to 911 calls, San Jose Firefighters often encounter families and individuals in need of help that goes beyond the immediate emergency. These needs can range from a bag of groceries or a toy for a child to essential appliances or help installing a wheelchair ramp. Each of these moments is an opportunity for a Random Act of Kindness—demonstrating that San Jose Firefighters are deeply committed to the communities we serve.
